Global agricultural machinery specialist TYM (Co CEOs Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900) announced that on October 31 it held a ceremony at its Seoul headquarters with Japan based Yanmar Power Technology (YPT) to commemorate reaching 100,000 cumulative diesel engine supplies.

The event marked a milestone in the two companies’ partnership, which began with combine harvester engines in 2007 and has continued for 18 years, culminating in 100,000 engines supplied as of September 2025. Centered on engine supply, TYM and YPT have maintained close technical collaboration, contributing to enhanced product quality and performance reliability.

Yanmar Power Technology, a core subsidiary of the Yanmar Group headquartered in Osaka, Japan, specializes in the design and production of engines for industrial, construction, and agricultural applications. Building on more than 110 years of engine expertise, YPT delivers high efficiency, low emission powertrain solutions to global markets, applied across tractors, combines, construction equipment, and other sectors.

YPT has long supplied diesel engines for TYM’s key agricultural machinery, while TYM maintains a close collaborative relationship with Yanmar America by exporting tractors. Building on this milestone, the companies plan to specify a mid to long term cooperation roadmap focused on strengthening a stable powertrain supply chain, expanding adoption of high efficiency, low emission engines, and coordinating a joint response to the North American market.

“Over the past 18 years, TYM and Yanmar Power Technology have grown together on the foundation of mutual trust and close collaboration,” said Dohoon Kim, CEO of TYM. “Going forward, through strategic partnership we will further enhance our responsiveness in Korea and global markets, backed by a stable powertrain supply chain.”
