Global agricultural machinery company TYM (Co-CEOs Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900) announced on the 3rd that it has carried out its fifth donation of agricultural equipment to strengthen support for Ukraine’s post-war recovery and reconstruction cooperation.
This donation was made at the official request of the Government of Ukraine and consists of eight tractors and maintenance parts, with a total value of approximately KRW 200 million. The donated equipment will be used in recovery efforts in the northeastern Sumy region of Ukraine, which borders Russia and has suffered war damage.
The donation ceremony, held on the 2nd at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea, was attended by TYM CEO Dohoon Kim, Kim Ho-gyeom, Head of the Global Business Division, and Dmytro Ponomarenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea, among other key stakeholders, reaffirming the commitment to deepen ongoing cooperation and friendly relations.
Since its first donation in 2022, TYM has provided agricultural machinery to Ukraine on five occasions, with a cumulative value exceeding KRW 1.5 billion. These contributions have offered practical support for the restoration of war-damaged areas and the rebuilding of the agricultural base, while also cementing trust and close cooperation with Ukrainian government agencies.

TYM is steadily expanding its presence in Eastern Europe, including by winning government procurement projects in Slovakia, and plans to secure a stable mid- to long-term sales base in the Ukrainian agricultural machinery market. The company will broaden its cooperation with Ukrainian government agencies and gradually increase participation in government procurement projects for post-war reconstruction. Centered on its European integrated subsidiary established last year, TYM is also in discussions with leading local private companies, aiming to sign export supply contracts in the second half of the year.
Kim Ho-gyeom, Head of TYM’s Global Business Division, said, “We have continuously collaborated to support Ukraine’s post-war recovery and the restoration of its agricultural infrastructure, and we will further solidify our relationship based on a close partnership. In addition to humanitarian aid, we will focus on expanding local supply contracts and building a reliable parts supply and service infrastructure through our European subsidiary to establish ourselves as a trusted partner.”
